help with cheap luxury vaca to thailand?

I’ve been on working holiday in oz for a while and feel like i need a vaca before i head back to north america. i hear thailand is awesome and cheap. what are some good resort type places that are cheap and safe? i’d be going by myself so i don’t really want to stay in a backpackers being a girl and all. open to other places as well like samoa. i don’t want to go back home without a tan!
