I am guessing you need to learn alot more about marketing then you know!
IT’s all itdepence on what area do you advertise.
First of all not everybody can afford to travel to Thai.
second you have intorduce to people more things about THAi. Like for example:
Take pictures of everything you can posibly take and go from that!

If you are running it out of Thailand, it may be benificial to find an american office to also run out of, or link up with a travel agency in the united states that would push business your way. Same with British etc. Try branching out where all your information is I think. If the only way people will be able to find out about your company is through the net, you need to expand.
I’ve just returned from Thailand and was wondering the same thing ,I was in Bgk .& Phuket for a month & only met three Americans I live in NYC and the advertising here seems to be non-existant ,I didn’t stay at upscale hotels ,so I found the trip not to be so expensive ,perhaps you might want to choose 2 & 3 star accom. to lessen the price —a round trip on CathayPacific is fairly reasonable
Hi…I worked as guide for some years and then I decided to open my own travel agency. I open Skanditours (Hua Hin) in 1998. I wanted to get more customers than I have from the street, so I make a complete catalog with all details about what trips I could offer including hotels etc, and then I send it to all the travel agencies in my homeland. Even many of the big agencies contact me and tell they like my programs. They start send down groups, so I did the hotel bookings, pick up at airport, transfer to hotel etc and of course get them on my tours. I get busy as never before. Have many groups comming always and open new offices in Pattaya and Koh Samui also. But after 6 years I had enough. At that time I work from 5 morning to midnight everyday. I have more than 20 minibuses everyday bringing pax on tours and airport etc.The income was huge, but it was to hard work. I sell my agency 2004 to a Greek guy, who runs it today. So take care it not take over. But try make a full program – what you can offer, and then try to send it to your home countries travel agencies. Maybe many have contacts already in Thailand, but then try make it better. Remember to make your own contracts with the hotels so you keep the 9% return commision for yourself. And don’t believe the thai guides you use. They get commision for elephantriding (the half go return in their pockets) boattrips, restaurants etc. But email me if you like.
